Default Detailing/Waxing Lacqeur Paint

I have a 1934 Chevrolet 2 Door Sedan I am planning on driving away from my wedding in two weeks. It is in good condition, but needs some work. Are there any special considerations for a polish or wax on lacquer paints, or will a something like a synthetic or carneuba wax be fine? I would love to polish it, but it is at my parent's house and I don't believe I have the time. I have polished my Camaro a few times, but have very little experience with single stage lacquer paints so any input is appreciated!
