Default How does your trans go plate look new?

I recently had a problem with a rebuild with no 4th and lockup. I tore everthing apart i could including the vb and 4th servos. I noticed when i bought a new trans go plate with my rebuild kit that it didnt have that machined flat look . The trans go plate was very disappointing in quality of material right out of the bag.Stupid me thinking maybe it was normal installed it anyways during the last rebuild. I ended up just putting my old B&m shift kit plate back in and voilia.will post pics of it later.

I would not be overly concerned with the finish on the TG plate. That is what gaskets are for. So with the TG plate you did not have 4th and LU and with the old plate all is well? Vince B
