Default 98+ rear calipers on a 97 ?

Will it work ? i know the 97 has the style with the counterweight etc. anyone ? thanks

also are the counterweights needed on the lt1 rear brakes ?

LS1 style have a different backing plate. The caliper mounts in the front of the wheel and the LT1's mount at the rear of the wheel.

You'd have to pull the axles to swap the backing plates.

Why are you wanting to switch rear calipers?

buying some parts to put on discs, having a tough time finding 93-97 calipers with the counterweights thats why i asked about the 98+
