Default Are there any advantages in getting 17's rather than 18's?

I'm looking at new wheels, and really wanted to stay with 18's all the way around. But just yesterday, i was offered some 17's for an AMAZING deal. The thing is, i don't really want to go smaller, since i think 17's would look too small on my car after having 18's. Are there any advantages to having 17's over 18's?

The disadvantage is you can't run any real brake setups. Even the CTSV caliper and 13'' rotor doesn't fit.

bigger sidewall thats about it. 18s look better, fit better brakes, and although they are more expensive it usually isnt to bad.

i would buy the 17s for a good deal and flip em

Mainly sidewall, you will have more flex and be able to hook measurably better, they are also lighter, less rotating mass = less energy used to turn the wheels = more power to the ground.

Other than that, it's your preference.

Yeah 18" wheels look way better, but tires for 17" wheels are cheaper.

+1 on the sidewall and traction.
