Default How to find out what kind of shocks car has?

I'm looking at a Trans Am - the owner says it was lowered 1", but he doesn't know for sure. The owner before him did the suspension work on it. I took the car for a test drive- all i know is you really felt the bumps on the road. Is there any way for me to know what he used to lower the car?

Ummm you can look at it. See if it looks lowered then look under the car and see if it has factory springs or shocks. Factory springs are black with no writing and the shocks will be orange and say "Decarbon" on them. If the springs are a different color go ahead and look for a brand name, same goes for the shocks.
