ShurFlo Scav Pumps?
Anyone on here running a Shurflo pump as a scavenger pump? Been thinking about the 8000-643-210 since its only like $110. My only apprehension is that is list a 180* fluid temp rating...but I know I've read of people running them.... anyone?... Advice?

If that one doesn't tickle your fancy I'd also recommend the Turbowerx pump, not the wicked expensive 1 - they have a 'lower' model, which I have. It works great!
TurboWerx Part # TWX-175-12V
Price: $229.00 (can prob find it on ebay)
It is good for 300*

lol, the pump doesn't add any power though.
I can say that out of the 3 types of pumps I've used (sts gear pump, flowjet diaphram pump, and shurflo diaphram pump) that the shurflo has been the best so far. On the others I would occasionally over run the pump and get a little smoke when coming to a stop after a hard run, on this one that almost never happens and if it does it's very minimal. I'll post when this one fails.

I use the smallest pump for my transmission cooler but they were designed as a scavage pump. They have some good info on the site
