you have two options

1. buy an h7 headlight kit ($200) and purchase a h7 hid kit from ddmtuning.com ($80)

2. Buy another set of stock headlights ($9 a piece) and drill the existing sealed bulbs out of the housings, and then jb weld the hid bulbs into the headlights ($80 hid kit from ddmtuning.com)

a "hid kit" consists of gas bulbs with a ballast to refine the power signal.

In most cases a "hid kit" installation is as easy as changing a headlight bulb. HOWEVER on trans am's the bulbs are sealed into the headlight housing, which means you need to drill your own hole in the headlight to replace the bulb

for further explanation go through this thread

*also please note that there are lots of people selling hid kits, however ddmtuning has the lowest prices and high volume sales combined with a lifetime warranty

althought the HID debate has mixed opinions, this may help you get started in getting a couple options of which way to go....

HID bulbs in the retrofit housings will definately be better than stock, cut to get the full benefits of HID you need the projectors. And I have ddmtuning 55 watt system in my maxima and hell for under $100 it works great. I'm gonna eventually try to do a projector mod for mine though.
