Default 3.5" steel or 4" aluminum driveshaft?

I'm getting a new driveshaft for my race truck. It's around 3500lbs and will be spinning the motor to around 7300rpms. I know the aluminum would be lighter, but is it needed? I'm using slicks, low gears, and a big converter, so I plan to launch hard. Of those 2 choices, which would be the better choice?

I have a 4 inch alum one in my car, and it's given me no trouble. Steel is always a safe move though, and the weight difference from a 4 inch alum to a 3.5 steel, probably isn't that much.... either one you will be fine with.
