How many have broke their truetrac? (10 bolt specific)
I tried a search and found a thread from 2007 and nobody said they broke their truetrac but I saw a couple replies about people breaking their truetracs in recent threads. I'm trying to decide on which posi unit that is under $500 and takes 3.23s and will last longer than the gears without breaking. Auburn, truetrac, eaton posi...that will always spin both turning left and right unlike the stocker. Thanks.
BTW, anybody replying with some form of "10 bolts are ****, get a moser.." will have to paypal me $3300, corvette_ls7@yahoo.com.

With street tires/automatic would there be a chance of it lasting, the price is tempting on them at $375. Otherwise would you recommend an eaton posi, auburn or other. Thanks.

So far the trutrac is the only one that hasn't burnt up. auburns don't last and you cant rebuild them, I have burnt up eaton difs in one race weekend. I drive on the street a little but most of the time I autocross. The car has about 550 hp and runs 315 hoosier slicks and it is driven hard most of the time

Thanks rsglaab, I'll only be about 410rwhp and also be on 200 UTQG or higher tire all the time. I think I'll go for the truetrac especially being $100 cheaper than the others and having the best drivability.

My first true-trac broke after about 5000 miles. my next one is still going strong after about 20k. I would switch to a strange but i've dumped so much cash into my 12 bolt and i also would need a new carrier to swap out my differential. stuck between a rock and hard place!
