Default MIL Installed

I have installed my Service Engine Light on my LS1 engine. The engine is on a test stand so I have unhooked the battery several times but it has been connected for the last week with the engine being run numerous times. My question is what will cause the light to stay on? will any error code cause that light to stay on or just MAJOR faults? My MIL light comes on with the ignition and goes OFF and stays OFF with the engine running. I don't have a scanner to do a little checking but I'm assuming all is good for now and the sensors are working correctly and I have no ignition issues such as misfires or the alternator is not charging etc. If that light stays off I'm good. It is much more then a idiot light.

Thanks,

Who ever flashed your PCM determined, what turns the light on

If it is off with the engine running you are fine.
It will stay lit while the engine is running if a DTC has been tripped.

Thanks,

I had Jesse Bubb at Wait4MePerformance do the programming and I'm very happy with his service. I'm sure he left on what needed to be and turned off the rest. I told him the obvious items (emissions and VATS) and to use his judgment on the rest as a standalone transplant engine.
