i have 410s now on the 6sp, and was wondering what the best tire would be? i currently am running 275 40r 17s Nitto NT555r Radials

is this ok? im not too familiar with the way tire size and gear ratio works, hence the question

Are you trying to keep the same RPM at a certain speed? if not....whatever is on the rim, itll just spin faster

i would stay with the same size tire. If you go with a taller tire like 28" tall tire which u dont need right now, it will lower ur gear ratio which would bring the 4.10's down around a 3.73. i would choice a mickey thompson radial over the nittos but the nitto's will work fine for now. Just remember ur sitting behind a 10 bolt "beware"!! The car should be a new monster with those 4.10's

haha thx guys. and yea i would get some mickey thompson Radials, but i DD the car, so the Nittos already only last like 12-15k miles. id be lucky to get 5-7k outa the MT's. and yes, it totaly kicks from a stop/low roll. its def not a highway car anymore. I hit 6th gear for the first time ina race the other day against some s/c mustang lol

I roll for a street tire on 4.10's and it is fine. As for hitting 6th in a race, that is moronic, unless your racing to infinity and beyond, thats a little much and a little too dangerous. Thats how cars end up wrapped up in a tree.

i do agree with ya. but with 410s, 6th gear came atlike 140. once i realized i was in 6th, i def slowed down lol.

If you are running on the stock 10 bolt I would run regular street tires. Otherwise M&H drag radials or MT Et streets.
