WS6 air box vs non WS6 air box question...
Just had a quick question about the air boxes. I want to put a WS6 air box on my non WS6 ram air T/A. I was under the impression that all WS6 cars came with ram air and thus have the raised air box base. I found one on ebay for a WS6, but the seller says that the car was a non ram air. Is this correct? Aren't all the WS6 air boxes raised whether they are ram air or not? Thanks for any info on this!

all LS1 WS6 cars are 'ram air'. that was half the point of the WS6 package.
i have a firehawk, which is also 'ram air', but it has the standard lower air box and not the raised WS6 one. the reason for this is that the firehawk hood sits lower and the WS6 lower air box would create clearance issues.
i kinda wonder if the raised ws6 lower air box is really more about getting it to line up with the opening in the hood rather than just the opening of the airbox being larger.

i'd love to know why they did it then. i know you had to order a hawk as a base TA and not a WS6... so maybe it was just out of laziness then?
