Angry Water in trany

I have a 4l60e trans in my back yard that just sitting up with the dipstick in it and covered up but someone at my house uncovered it and took the dipstick out of it and it rained this weekend and i noticed that transmission fluid was overflowing out of it. Is it still good or do i have to get it fixed. Can anyone help me with an answer

As long as the water has not been in there very long you might be ok. I would take and drain it asap. The issue with water in a trans is it attacks and paper materials in a transmission. Vince Bielanski
