Default Thinking about moving up to 382

Added the PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads, VRX4 cam, Fast 92 setup and all supporting mods about a year ago, probably about 1000 miles at most on motor (not even close to daily driver!). Thought about doing a 408 but for what I have in this setup, thought a 382 might be a better route and cost a LOT less too. Was wondering if the heads and cam that I have now would be a good fit for the 382 and if I should move in header size too. Have some friends that have a machine shop and build some killer LS based motors so that part will be taken care of. What kind of increase would I be looking at? Car is only driven on nice days but still want a nice streetable car.

Anyone have any idea about how much hp and torque going to a forged 382 would do with my setup? Could do a 408 but everything is new in my setup now and the block would be alot heavier with the 408.

get a stroker ls2 block it will be same weight and will put u in the 400 cubes.

a fully forged short block will run you about 4 grand but you can use your same heads and intake, not sure about the cam though. I am not sure if the ls1 and ls2 cams are swappable.
