Default 6.6 diesel turbo setup? possible?

Can you use the FI setup from a 6.6 diesel on a 6.0 gas motor?

first of all the 6.6 litre diesel turbocharger is too small for a 6.0 gasoline v8. if you get 2 of them then it will work fine. as far as the manifolds from the diesel motor and everything else it will not bolt up to any ls series motor

I had one on my homemade rear mount set up and made 480 and the tires with 5lb of boost. It would not spool right. The exhaust housing is just wrong. It was a lb7 non-varable vane on a stock Ls1.

that and you have to take into consideration a big turbo on a diesel is a small turbo on a gas job, the A/R on the hotside is all off seeing as the exhaust flow of a diesel at 3200 RPM is alot less then an equal size gas job at 6500-7000 RPM...

you need approx. double the size of turbo on a gas-burner than a diesel. Its because the diesel only turns a redline of 3250rpms and the gasser turns around 6000-6500rpm+
