Default Kooks vs. ARH vs LPP

I'm torn between these headers. While Kooks has always been THE BEST, the ARH headers look pretty good and have a slightly reduced section at the collector that appears to increase velocity. The LPP headers also have this, Kooks does not.

The LPP headers look very good and are very attractively priced.

Opinions/experiences good or bad for any of them and why?

Thanks...

I have LPPs. They hit the K member. But the car they came off of they didnt. Guess its hit or miss. They sure look nice though.

Good info 01. Is that the stock K-Frame or tubular aftermarket?

The "revised" Kooks have the new velocity merge, the older ones don't but any vendor you would buy these headers from will have the newer ones.
I have installed both ARH and LPP's. Both are nice, LPP's did not hit but the passenger side hangs a little lower than the ARH. ARH Y pipe offers the best merge. Overall go with what you have the money for, all will be a good choice.

I too have heard members complaining on the LPP design's fitment. Now, weather or not they've addressed this issue in their latest designs, I dont know.

I would honestly say that based on the price, and they way they look+being stainless steel I would highly recommend them for close to half the price of the competition.

Stock, and recently while installing them "out of" the car, They were resting against the motor mounts (driver side only) . Poly motor mounts BTW. Passenger side fits like a glove.

The #1 primary in this pic.

Passenger side....

Heres the best view of my KOOK's. Bought them 5 years ago any they fit like a glove on the stock K member and the tube unit. The finish is still great but the car is a garage queen. http://mycarpics.shutterfly.com/262

Edit... Also you wont be disappointed with any of your 3 choices they are all great headers.

kooks took about 10 seconds to slid in once the oil filter was off. the designers of ARH were all part of kooks and then made their own company. Its all the same people so the design and all is guna be VERY similar. Either way you go ARH or Kooks your guna be fine. I'd venture and say there is MAYBE a 1 RWHP diffreence between the two brands.

ARHs here and they're great. Fit is perfect despite aftermarket milled heads and poly motor mounts. No signs of rust or leaks either.

ARHs here. Went in with no problems. Don't have any experience with the other two. Only issue I have had is that TSP true duals don't fit well with my ARHs. Could be the TDs though. Picked up around 25 or so hp with the headers, TDs with cats and tune all through an auto with 9in rear.

my lpps are close to the drivers motor mount, very close, however i dont hear any rattles or feel any vibrations from it. During installation they slid in extremely easy.

I've seen two sets of LPP headers put on. Both fit right on with no issue. So for the price that get my vote.
