4l60 or th350 need help deciding... Hey guys hows it going? Anyways I have a 93 Camaro Z28....tranny is out, A4, no 3rd or 4th.....needs a complete rebuild
I was quoted $1200 for a rebuild, 2800 stall and trans cooler.....not bad I know.
Here's the dilemma...I can get a TH350 that I KNOW is good....for prolly $100 bucks, throw a higher stall converter in there, and be done and back going for less than $600 (by the time I pay a mechanic buddy of mine to help me drop mine and slide the th350 in there.)
Question is, I have, I'm sure, 3.23s in the rear....how bad would it be without OD? More money I save now, the more money I can put into LTs, Cam, ect later down the road
It's going to be a toy...I have another DD, but if something were to happen to my dd (it is a Ford after all) I'd have to drive the Camaro in a pinch and my commute is LOONG...but not much interstate at all.
Thus my dilemma....help?
