I am new to all of this and I was wondering how a torque converter works and what it does?

To keep it simple a TC slips your vehicle into your motor's power band where it can make more power,also it will be a little more efficient than a stock converter so you might see a couple MPH in the 1/4. You will defiantly need new tires going to a converter other than stock. Good Luck
