Default 02 z06 side moldings questions

question, i want to take the side moldings off the doors of my car, i no there just double sided tape, are they a pain in the *** to get the tape off? does it mess up the paint at all? if any one has done this please let me no how it went. thanks

Generous amounts of Goo Gone will loosen those things right up. Use Fishing line toseperate the tape from the car. Then clean up with more goo gone and a clean towel. The only thing you might run into is if it was clear coated with the side moldings on like mine and leave a noticeable line on the paint.

thanks man, wut did u do to get rid of the lines, just buff em out?

Any lines left from the adhesive can be easily buffed out. My sitiation is different, they Clear coated the doors with the moldings on. Had two body shops look at it, in order toi fix my doors they would need to sand and repaint. But my Situation is not typical.
