New cam & heads for me
Just bought TR230/224-111 .575/.563 lift cam and Patriot 59cc CNC heads with 2.02/1.57 stainless steel valves. Also picked up new Ls2 lifter trays, Ls7 lifters, LS6 ported oil pump and LS2 timing chain. All on sale at TR, today is last day of sale.
This is for my 99C5 MN6 LS1 with 58,xxx miles. Have Dynamax headers, GHL exhaust and Blackwing. Need LS6 intake.
Suggetions for head gaskets and other stuff?

ah, you should definately try and find an intake for it, while your in there already you know? also ive seen that cam push over 400rwhp to the wheels with stock 241's, and was leaning out over 5000rpm. id say some injectors are also in your future. as for a head gasket just look at what the vendors have to offer and also search on it. you have 59cc heads, so your compression will already be at about 11:1 with a stock thickness hg (.051) but if thats what your looking for. id say either a stock MLS gasket or cometic stock thickness, unless you want more compression, go smaller. sounds like it should be a sweet setup man!!! also what sale did TR have?

Injector are going to help out a lot. Some 36# or 42# if your planning to go well over 500 rwhp. I would do nothing less than a LS2 ported manifold or a FAST if its in the budget. When it comes to heads, I would not waste my time in doing anything with 241s. They are a waste of money I fought that battle already and lost and went with the 243s. I would do an oil pump because at about 80K its a need more than a want. So since you'll have all your stuff off it be a good investment. Either a ported LS6 or a Melling. I have the latter and have had no issues. Good luck with the set up keep us posted on numbers and such.
