Quick question about A4's and lockup at w.o.t..
I am a newbie to autos, so sorry, first thing.
I know in the ford world, they can get a setup that allows them to lockup the converter manually, about half way thru 3rd gear on a 1/4 mile pass and thus got more mph and a slight et improvement.
Is this done with A4's and aftermarket cnverters? If so, who does it and can you piont me to some info?
Thanks in advance Guys....

Usually refered as a triple disc converter. Its made to lock up at WOT. I believe Yank, Vigilante, and circle D have a version of them. They are sponsers here---------------->>>

I know this is a stupid question but what exactly does lockup mean and say you have a converter that doesnt lock up until 45mph. How will the car act until it does lockup if it was a DD? Thanks in advance!
