Default obd2

I was wiring in an obd2 plug in a 62 Chevy truck we just completed an LS1 transplant to. The best I can tell there are a black and a black with a white tracer that does to ground. An orange that goes to 12 volt and a purple to the harness which is labled obd2. Taking it to a tuner Friday for a dyno tune and wanted to make sure I had everything hooked up that needed to be before the trip so he can fine tune it. Just seems odd the one purple wire can read and commucate input changes. Thanks for the help. Neil

Position 2 of the DLC goes to PIN C1-58, positions 4 & 5 go to ground. Position 16 goes to power. Hope that helps.
