Default Installing o2simm

first off this is a 3.8car, which shouldnt matter. I took the cat off because it was clogged up and sounded broken. of course SES light came on, o2simm is on the way, do i just install it and the SES light will shut off? or do i need to do something like disconnect the battery or use the OBDII?

I believe after time it should shut off, but if you're not real worried about it being on, i would just cancel the order for the o2 sim and not worry about it. Or just pay someone to have it tuned out. But that might be just as expensive as the sim. If it don't shut off, i'm sure you could run to an autoparts store and borrw their code reader for 2 mins to delete it.

You can disconnect the battery for 30 min or so and install the sim and the light should go off. You can just install it and the light should go off but it may not be right away. Let us know if it doesn't work and we can tune the ECU and turn the light off for you.
