Power steering wierd question
How much HP do you think power steering pumps rob? They make 1700hp electric motors why wouldn't you be able to rig up an electric motor like a compressor pump motor to run the power steering pump?

Toyota MR2's from the 90's use an electric power steering pump. They're run off a voltage regulator that varies depending on the angle of the steering wheel. At full lock it'll pull 80+ amps. I bought one off fleabay but haven't hooked it up yet. I'll need a high amp alt to run this bitch. Some have suggested running a resister...
I'm a little lethargic on this one. I'll get it set up for spring i'm sure.
I like how my motor spins up with only an alternator belt and a lightweight clutch/flywheel. I'll run the electric motor cause it's a cheap swap, I'll move weight where I want it, and no parasitic drag.
In your situation, if you're not max effort 346 with EVERYTHING else done you can do...don't waste you're time.
