What I do know is the runner design on the truck intake is for low end Tq.. Not so much HP. I've heard the street warrior intakes are pretty good. Better than the LS6.. Dunno if there much better than fast.

As for the Typhoon or FAST, however they each compare to the LS6 intake will tell you. General consensis seems to be that the FAST stuff trumps GM stuff unless the GM stuff is ported right its close then. the Typhoon, I dont know. Search for it and what you find.

Chevy Hi perf. magazine July - 04 ran a dyno test of LS-1 intakes and the truck manifold either equaled or out performed the others, as long as the cam was 225 degrees duration or less. After 225 degrees the LS6 and Fast intakes made more H.P.

if I remember from one of my ls1 books correctly the ls1 and vortech are pretty close except for the loss of torque in the lower RPM band. after that the rest listed out perform the vortecs. I think the vortec's biggest problem is its size limits what vehciles can use it.....and it's sort of ugly.

The truck Vortec intake flows as as well as the LS1. The LS6 flows better at higher RPM. The truck 90mm LS2 intake flows as well as the LS6. The aftermarket ones are better than the stock truck ones.
The Gen IV L92 truck intakes flow well but the LS3 out flows it way better in mid to high RPM's.
Basically the truck intakes are fine but don't "look" as good. Swapping to a LS1 gains nothing, and the LS6 isn't really worth it unless your looking for all out performance.
Here's some more data on flow. http://performancetrucks.net/forums/...d.php?t=397720
