Any other opinions? I thought it was a bit large for a DD car.

i dont think so....thats for a 427...though it would be huge in a 346, displacement eats up cam in a sense.....im no expert with 427's but that cam looks about perfect to me.

A 427 will need a cam that has 13-15 degrees more overlap than a 346. Your cam has 21.5 degrees of overlap at .050". That would be like running a 234/238 114LSA cam in a 346. Not exactly small or mild. Personally, I think the cam is way too big if it doesn't see the track. If a 224/228 114LSA cam is considered easy to drive and live with every day in a 346 (-2 degrees of overlap) you'd probably want something more like a 238/242 114LSA. That has 12 degrees of overlap (14 degrees more).

I wasn't sure if I should just run it and swap if I wasn't happy or just swap now. The car will not see the track though so I did think it was a bit big.
