Default transmissio breather
On the top of the transmission, there is a small metal tube. I believe this is supposed to have a rubber tube and some type of breather filter on it.

Can someone verify this is correct, and know the technical name for this. I went to the parts store and the guy couldn't find anything for it in his system.

BTW, I'm using a 98 T/A 4L60E

That is the breather for the trans, they put a hose on it incase it pukes tranny fluid out, it won't dump it on the hot exhaust and start a fire.

Should just be a open ended hose, no breather etc.
