Best time was a 12.2 @116 on a dry 100shot thats with a stock stall and 3.23s. now the maro is just a street cruiser that has been 6 spd swapped.

A stall, drag radials, and a tune should really help. Power is nothing if you cant get out of the hole.

Get a Vig3200 or go with a Circle D converter. They will both do you plenty of good with a set of sticky tires that is.

ill look into that
is it hard to install a converter?
i bet it its

If you daily drive the car then a 3200 stall will be perfect. I had a 3800 stall in my old car and if i had the chance to do it over agian i would have a 3200. I would probably do suspension work first. I wouldnt do a Ms4 if its your only car. Might want to go with a mild cam and stall.

it is my only car
what would be a more mild cam
?
a cam that would go great with a 3200 stall.?

Well since its your only car you dont want to go with to wild of a cam. I made that mistake with my first car. The MS3 should work just fine with a 3200 stall. You could always get a set of 3.73 gears before you do all of that.

The next mod would be a stall if I were you. On the Auto cars it makes a HUGE difference. After that I would put a 100 shot on it. LS Motors love the juice. My car with a lid and 100 shot went 12.0s on some sticky tires with a stock stall and 3.23's. Those were the only mods. If i had a stall it would have been in the 11's. That is fast enough for 80% of the cars you will ever see on the road.

IF you still want more you can add a cam later on. If you want a bit milder cam I would go with a 233/239 cam. I have been in a car with that cam and it was pretty mild and pulled very nicely. Also I have a buddy who daily's a MS3 Auto and that car runs very good as well. Its all up to what you consider mild or extreme. Ask someone with a big cam to take you for a ride or even let you drive the car. See what you think and then make your deicision.

If you do 3.73's and a 3200 stall i think you would be very happy with the diffrence. That should wake it up and after that go with a cam.

Its obvious b now that a stall should be your next mod. If you don't plan on nitrous I would go with at least a 3600 stall. My car is pretty much stock with a PT 4000 and the car gained 6 mph at the track. If you want a tighter driving converter go with an ss 3600 or ss 4000. If you have 3.23 gears I wouldn't touch them unless you want to drive around at 70 mph and close to 3k rpms.

Absolutely get a stall. You don't want to be driving around with a big cammed car on a stock stall. That would not be fun.

Sounds like the best mod for you right now would be research. Read through the technical sections, and see what works. Don't spend any money without doing alot of research. Plan each mod around your final goal. You don't want to go out an get a stall right now, and have that stall be too small for the cam you want to get in the future.

from what im reading my stall should be around a 3200 or a 3800
i think the 3200 would be better for me.
i do plan on using some spray
and a mild like cam

Well if you do gears, stall, and mild cam you shouldnt need nitrous. I thought nitrous would be cool for my first car but i never hooked it up cause what if i messed up the motor and was stuck with out a car. A cammed car should be enough for you. Wait till you get another car to go with nitrous. You should be in the 400rwhp range with gears stall cam and tune.

Well you most likely have 3.42's now. 3.73's are perfect with automatics. Your highway driving with be fine.
