umi 3 pnt sfc
Okay so i had my 3 point sfc's put on and i was driving and went over a lil bump and i hear the crack from under the car, i talked the the shop that put them on and he said they will do that. I mean really now, I know there welded on in the front but the middle and rear are bolt in only. Anyone else have the problem, If umi can chime in that would be great.

Hello
Thanks for choosing UMI Performance! I take it that they are the weld on version. It is not normal to make a sound like that. Are you sure you just did not scrap anything when you went over the bumps? And as long as they were installed properly such as having the chassis loaded and depending how good the weld is I would double check them as well. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks
Brad

I know it was not hit by anything, just made a crack/pop type sound. Wasnt even that bad of a bump. So they are supposed to be welded at all 3 spots? the shop only welded the front part and bolted the other 2 points per side is that right or all 3 needed to be welded also and he told me i might have to retighten the bolts, I did not get the instructions back nor did i lookat them, I just left the box and car with them...

Hello
Yes make sure the hardware is tightened (90ft lbs) and we do usually suggest to weld a little bit of the lower control arm reinforcement. The tunnel mounted location just gets bolted as well.
Hope that helps!
