Default Building a new home – Ideas on where?

We are ready to build a new home and I’m looking for suggestions on areas of town.

We want to build a semi-custom home in a nice area that is going to hopefully develop, appreciate and be a safe place for my family in the years to come.

I travel to the galeria/i-10 area most days for work and have family in Spring that also help with the kids, so I need to keep both in consideration.

So far we have looked into Spring Trails, Fairfield, Creekside Park, Bridgeland and Agusta Pines.

If anyone lives in those areas of knows of someplace else to check I’d like to hear what you have to say.

Thanks!

It's a pretty far drive, but I could sell you my acre in Santa Fe. Just an empty lot right now, need 1800 sq ft minimum. Water well and septic are required as no city services out there. One street in the neighborhood, 18 lots and only 17 are going to built on. Most are 1 acre but a couple are more that that.

Thanks for the offer - I just sold a custom home on a wooded 1 acre lot in Conroe so I'm looking for something different.

Houston traffic really sucks - There aren't really any places that you want to live that don't have really bad traffic. At least that's what it looks like so far.

might be a little far. But there are about 3 or 4 custom home areas in freindswood that are still being built out.
450k and up to how ever much you want to spend. Its a really nice town so
SSHHHHHHH don't tell everybody.....you will ruin it.
