Default hydroboost with drums only?

Can you run a hydroboost set up with drum brakes only. I've seen them on disc front and drum rear, but not drum all the way around. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.

You should be able to. Hydroboost just replaces the vacuum brakes. It does not care whether its is supplying pressure to disc`s, drums, or your floor jack for that matter. You can have power drums so hydroboost will work with it too.

The only hiccup that I can think of is that you might end up with too much hydraulic pressure and leaky wheel cylinders. Vacuum power brakes have higher line pressures than manual brakes, but hydroboost can generate even higher pressures than vacuum power brakes.

If your going to switch to a hydro boost set up just spend the extra money and put on Disc brakes up front. Check our SSBC.

I've got drums all the way around, and I would like to go with hydroboost myself, but their website advises against using that on a drum setup. Apparently people have had problems with the fronts locking up with that setup..

Thanks for all the input. I guess I'm going with the front disc when I get the money, and then maybe hydroboost down the road.
