can't get clutch petal

can't get clutch petal
I have a newly rebuilt transmission, F1 Racing STAGE 2 clutch kit witch includes a F1 Racing Lightweight Chromoly flywheel. I installed a new slave and master, and blead for 3 days,. Very light petal, Petal goes about 1.5" down before I get any pressure. Instructions on new master said not to bench bleed, because damage may be caused by overstroking. Used mity-vac and bleed by slave bleed screw. Will not go into any gear.Won der if it's the master has air in it, not being bench blead or I need a shim behind the flywheel or something. Thanks for any advice, I'm very fusrated. Never though replacing a clutch would kick my a$$ so much.

More than likely it is bled wrong is all, so no worries.
Get rid of that damn MityVac, and get ya a friend over to help out.
Piece of cake, and done right, will have ya fixed up in about 15-30 minutes:
2 people
1 under car
1 in car
car on jackstands
top off reservoir
person IN car, apply pressure to clutch pedal, BUT DO NOT PUMP OR PUSH DOWN PEDAL TO FLOOR!!!
Person UNDER car, on bleeder, yell PUSH, and crack open bleeder
Person IN car, SLOWLY push pedal to floor, and RIGHT BEFORE pedal gets to floor, YELL..OK CLOSE IT!
Person UNDER car, close bleeder, and yell OK
Person IN car, release pedal
Repeat those steps, and check reservoir after @ 3-4 pumps as it WILL empty quickly!
After 8-12 total pumps you should have all air out by then, and pedal should be firm.

sounds like you have air in your system i could not get all the air out with the bleeder method , so i put a mitivac on it and pumped it all the way up and let it sit for about an hour within a few minutes you will start to see bubbles just leave it alone and let the vac work for you. This is what i did after a clutch ,master, and slave change out and the pedal is awesome.

Bleeding these systems sucks. I tried the mighty-vac, but had the best luck just pumping it. A friend showed me the trick of first raising the front about four feet off the ground to bleed the master, then lowering the front and raising the back four feet up to bleed the air from the slave. It's a lot of god damned yelling, "DOWN -- okay let it up," and tightening and loosening that f#$%ing bleeder, but it gets you there.
The mighty-vac did nothing for me.

I try the mighty-vac at about 25... then put someone in the car n start pumping the clutch slowly ....then u should start seeing air bubbles coming up the line...continue the process until u see no more bubbles..by then u should be ok

Think I got it!!!Mity-vac At 25 psi pull out some bubbles, but didn't work. Bench bled master, lost some more air, but still didn't work. Followed Ton loc directions worked, still hard to shift but I think the more I drive it the better it will get. Thanks for all your help

Just pass that tip on to others who are dealing with the f-body clutch bleeding blues.
