Give someone a call who builds turbo cars and have them spec you a cam.

Uhh what he said.

camshafts for turbo stuff depend on back pressure, spooling characteristics needed, rpm range req etc.I do cams for lots of lsx stuff, and took what id consider a first revision stab at cam for turbo project. get backpressure other data then tweak from there, not so much out of acatalog.

that cam there doesnt look right to me though

I would not bias a cam towards the intake on a head that is already so intake flow biased like those L92's.

What are the specs on the S487 anyway?

Speedinc makes some nice "boost" cams (tu2 236/236 w/ .587/.587 lift, 112.5 lsa) or (tu3 240/240 w/ .588/.588 lift 112 lsa). Although from what I've read, you want a cam with a little more lift to take advantage of those square port heads, hope that helps.

From discussions by builders I've lurked on. The square port head doesn't need as much intake duration as the cath. ports to turn the same RPM. The exhaust split has to be based on the E/I ration of your set of heads and how much back pressure you'll end up with.
