Default MAP sensor 5.7 LS1 versus 5.3 Vortec....any differences??

Hey guys,

I'm swapping my 2004 vortec intake for a 1998 LS1 intake and noticed that the map sensors are different physically and autozone is showing different part numbers.

I'm retaining the 5.3 Vortech Harness and PCM, will using the stock MAP sensor on the LS1 intake cause any drivability issues or should I modify the vortec MAP to fit the LS1 intake?

I didn't know if the map sensors were different because of the volume differences of each intake or because of the mounting scheme?

Can I use the LS1 map on the LS1 intake with my 2004 Vortec PCM?

I think most the truck guys who do the swap use the ls1 map, so Im' sure it'd work with the vortech pcm.

I clipped off the 2 tabs on the one side of my truck MAP and put it on the LS1 intake. works fine.
