Lightbulb Is Their HP Difference When Modding A LS1

is their going to be a HP difference if i put a ls1 motor in a silverado than a Camaro. i know i can get 400+Hp at the wheels with a camaro.

The main thing would be the transmission...The auto will take more HP away from the wheels over a six speed. But it doesnt matter what you put the motor in, it will have the same crank HP in either vehicle.

agreed^

A 400 crank hp motor will be the same in either vehicle. You will however lose horsepower due to the transmission and rearend gear difference... But a 400 hp silverado wont ever feel like a 400hp camaro because of the weight difference.

The HP will be the same. However, you have to take into account the weight of the vehicle too. The same motor in the lighter car is going to feel a lot better than in the heavier truck. You will have to make more power in the truck to run with the car.
