Default ls1 into my 91 c1500 swb

im thinking about putting a ls1 and auto trans in my 91 chevy truck.where would i get headers for it?

i'd look for a set off a later 5.3, and see if they will still fit. the size of engine bay you have seems like it'd probably be ok to me. theres a few different shorty headers available for silverados, might be able to find a set on the performance trucks forum. the link is at the very top left of this page. if you want a little additional oil capacity, i'd swap oil pans with ya. i have a truck pan on mine, but its too low for my swap.

right now it has a 4.3 non vortec high horse power plant.maybe 120bwh lol

Thumbs up LS1 Into An Old Body Style '88 Thru '98 Truck

Shoenfeld now makes headers for this exact swap. Very reasonably priced too. The only other headers that fit this swap, are the S & P(Street And Performance) "G-Body" headers. They are mid length, but fit well. All you need to know for this swap, is over on www.LS1Truck.com Good luck with the install. It makes for a great running truck.
