When did GM change the stock hood and remove the forward rubber bumpers?

Default When did GM change the stock hood and remove the forward rubber bumpers?
Just realized my '03 doesn't have the rubber screw in bumpers just above the headlamp area like my '01 does... I can't remember what my father's '04 Z16 had. Check it out... not only does it not have the bumpers, but the holes are filled in and painted over from the factory.

On another forum everyone with a 2002+ that checked doesn't have them. Looks like '01 was the cutoff.
