LS3 Hot Cam Tune

LS3 Hot Cam Tune
I am installing a GMPP LS3 w/Hot Cam in my 2009 Pontiac G8. I am pretty sure the tune I have (with DOD) will not work with this engine. I plan on getting a tune once the engine is broken in, but need something to drive away with. I suggested a stock GXP tune to a tech at the dealership and he didn't think it would run.
Any suggestions?

Are you removing the DOD when you put the cam in? If so just turn off the DOD with a tuner. You should get it tuned as soon as possible, you really don't need any break in time with a cam. Just a couple of heat cycles. Where are you located.

I am installed the complete crate motor which does not have the DOD. I have heard it will kick right in to DOD and I have heard it will not matter. It is being done at a dealer and I am not sure how much "tuning" they can do. I was looking for something stock GM they could flash it to get me going.

Then a stock ls3 tune should be some what better then a stock Gt tune. But let me get this straight. You bought a whole ls3 motor from GM to replace your L76 motor? You could have just plugged a cam into your L76 and saved about 9 grand. Would have had the exact same performance.

It is looking like I will have to trailer it to a tuner.
