Guide pin head broken

Default Guide pin head broken

anyone ever have this happen to them. Anyone have any pointers . the head sheared off and the rest is stuck in the case

Always use heat on the pins before trying to remove them!!! If you're lucky and there's some left sticking out, I've been able to use a dremel and notch the pin and use a screwdriver impact to work it out after heating. If not, I've had to grind down into the pin and use a carbide to drill and easy-out after heating..

yeah i will know that for next time. gonna drill and easy out or grab it in from the inside i think

FWIW, I've taken a couple trans. to a welder for a nut to be welded on to a pin for removal.

Those are a bitch..I broke a few Torx on them..
