Default clutch noise in a WS6

hi, i bought a 2000 WS6 yesterday, its not perfect but a dam good start on the LS1 world. small things need fixing and i'mma do it while I have the money, the problem is when I engage the cluth and hold it to the floor, there is a rattling noise. maybe a bearing of something? I dont know jack about these cars and am here to learn.

well the sound while engaged is like a bearing still spinning. is a pilot bearing expensive? easy-to-do fix?

I'm not a mechanic but not afraid to get under my car and have a looksey.

ya my car had the same issue when i bought it. when i went to swap clutches, the inner shell of the pilot bearing was sitting on my input shaft and the outer was still in the crank. dont ask me what happened to the actual bearing

pilot bearings are like $17. not an easy fix though. tranny needs to come out and getting the bearing out of the crank is usually a pain in the ***

noise while the pedal is depressed is the pilot bearing, but getting under it and looking will tell you nothing because the bearing is inside the bellhousing, while your fixing that you might as well check out your clutch wear
