Default Exhaust Help!

I am doing a new exhaust setup. The setup I am planning to do is ditch the B&B Triflow Catback I have on my car, because I hate the look of it and I hear many horror stories about bad flow. So my new exhaust setup will be LT's into a ORY pipe with a Dynomax Bullet muffler w/turndown.

Here is the muffler im getting, but need help with finding a good turndown.

Why is this turndown so expensive and what causes it to reduce noise, I have been thinking about getting this but not sure:

If anyone can post up any other 3inch turndowns that would work with the above muffler that would be great. Also, if anyone knows if I take the muffler to a shop, could most shops create and weld on a 3inch turndown??

Am I reading this wrong or are you going to run LT's> ORY> single dynomax> single turndown??

That's what I thought you meant. I don't like dumps period (too much interior noise) and that is a ghetto dump IMO.... If you are gonna dump at least run TD's.....

Finally! Thank you, I thought I was the only one.

I've always thought of dumps as unfinished exhaust.

Although, I'd have to say it isn't the amount of interior noise that turns me off, but the amount of soot the exhaust leaves on the bottom of your car. There are pictures of what I'm talking about in the following thread. Take a look.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...dual-pics.html

Granted this particular example doesn't have turndowns (which would help eliminate some buildup of soot), but you get what I'm trying to say. Disgusting.

To those of you who like your dumps, I say, I'm glad you enjoy your exhaust and you are more than entitled to your opinion, but please remember, so am I. I guess, to each their own. I'm not trying rip on you. I'm simply trying to explain why I don't like the idea having dumps.
