Default Is it worth a cam change on an 08 A6 with stock converter?

As best I can determine, idle speed can't go much over about 600 rpm with my stock converter in my 08 A6. Would a cam change that will idle this slow produce enough gains to be worth it?

Larry, I put a cam and maggy on mine, but had to change the convertor. It idles around 800-1000 and is really smooth.

That's what I was afraid of. Just not ready to go with a converter right now. Guess I'll keep the factory cam.

Larry we use our Stinger cam with a Stock converter and it works great with LS3. Idle will be around 800 and the car will drive like it does now. Here is a vedeo of and 08 A6 with our Stinger Cam.

Good video Shawn. I'll have to bump my rpm to 800 with my HPT and see how it feels in normal driving. Thanks!
