Default MAF Readings vs. Horsepower, any rule of thumb?

Anybody have any rule of thumb for MAF readings and how the relate to horsepower? I'm really looking to see what type of power it would take to max an F-body ported MAF on a Z06. Thanks for any help.

Not really- to many variables in terms of engine efficiency...etc.

Now in terms of "mazing out the MAF", it depends. Many forced induction engines "max" out the MAF frequency wise all the time. In terms of a HP where the engine demands enough air that the MAF opening is too small- I'd say 600 before it becomes a "restriction" worth replacing (I'm sure others have a different opinion).

The site in the link has some useful info. I don't know if you'll find a direct answer to your question but it should get you close.

For the ls1 forced induction guys 10-11 fwhp per lb/min will be sligtly less for NA.
