The problem with the GM tool is it won't remove it if the bushing is broken, which they usually are.

can somebody give me the dimensions of the factory bushing.. including the shell, and/or the hole size of where it goes pretty please.

i have a line on some very cheap bushings that might be a perfect fit.

ID where bolt goes=
OD of bushing shell w/ bushing inside=
lenght of center anti-crush sleeve inside bushing=

Mine will take out a broken bushing. The spacer that is pushed/pulled through the bore is only slightly smaller than the bore itself.

I don't have those dimensions on me, but I have a stock bushing you can have. Just pay shipping. PM me.

I have two of them loaned out. They've both been out for quite a while. Hopefully one will make it's way back soon.

Would you be able to post a picture of the tool? I only ask because I'm a Cadillac tech and just did a V bushing the other day. The tool I used will not work if the rubber bushing is seperated from the metal sleeve since it's designed to push on the metal insert that's part of the bushing.

I've done a couple re-designs, but here is what it used to look like. The round insert is now steel and thinner, the cup is now a little shorter and the threaded portion of the cup is thicker. You can either push or pull the round insert through the bore. It actually works better without the rubber portion of the bushing connected.
