Default Will my t/a be allowed in Cali

hi i am being stationed at camp pendleton and will be moving out there the end of april, I want to bring my t/a with me but im afraid it wont pass emissions and will be far too loud for out there. mods are 228/230 cam .600 lift, 85mm intake manifold and tb, lt headers no cats, true dual x pipe with dynomax bullets, lingenfelter port and polished heads, and etc.. but its loud as **** and definitely not up to standards according to emissions. anybody have any opinions on this that can let me know i tried searching but couldnt really find anything, anybody have experience with this that could help me out. i appreciate it.

you will need all your air egr parts. You will have to have factory manifolds with cats. And your cam is too big, you will need to go down in size to like a 224/224 114.

or you can drop some cash to have it pass.

No. They will stop you at the border and tell you to turn around.

Yeah, depending on how long your going to be there you can keep your plates... that helps. BUT, if they find out your living in CA now, they can make you update your address and then you gotta register it in cali.

that sounds long term to me, id atleast switch up the exhaust when you get out there. not that hard and would put you under the radar more. go get an slp dual/dual, cutout, and some fake cats in the y. i think with that and out of state plates theyd pretty much have to go pound sand!

I know a lot of guys stationed in Pendelton who have illegal mods but keep their cars registered in their original state and never have an issue with the cops.

Well from my understanding from when I was in, you can keep the plates from wherever you are from and do not have to register in the state you are being stationed, when did they change it to where you had to in order to get a base sticker? they will let you on base anyways you are being stationed there.

Unless Marines do something differently, to the OP, if you want to keep your car as is there might be a special smog person for you. Otherwise i agree to change the exhaust and quiet it down I don't get hassled really and my car is semi loud.

you have to have a base sticker to get on base unless you have state plates for that state... and if you want a base sticker you have to get it smogged
