Default Clutch slipping, looking for a oem replacement disc

Well, I'm starting to have some clutch slippage on my new swap, basiclly when the engine and tranny gets warmed up, my clutch will start slipping pretty consistently at higher RPMs. I only live about 5 miles from work, so on a normal basis I don't seem to have any problems, but after driving my car around for awhile or taking a quick 20 min trip to my dad's house in a neighboring city, my clutch will start slipping. I assume my clutch disc is toast, but after dumping all this money into the swap, I don't have enough funds to buy a whole new clutch kit, so I'm wondering what are my options on just picking up a new clutch disc and having the flywheel turned. I saw a few clutch disc's on ebay the other day for sale, are there any out there someone would recommend.

Man I hate to be cheap, but with 3 kids, dumping funds into this swap and buying a new Ford Flex 3 weeks ago I'm broke.

Oh, I almost forgot. My swap consists of a 2005 5.3L L33 with a LS6 cam and T56 out of 2001 TransAm. I initially had to send the T56 back to the salavge yard to be rebuilt, but thought that the clutch would last me awhile.

Call up Kentucky Clutch and have them set you up with a kit. I just did it with my bolt on 2001 SS and I got the whole thing to my door for 310 bucks.

Also see if you can get the stock flywheel turned. Otherwise they can send you another one.

Yeah, I saw a couple of deals around the $300 mark, but I was thinking about something like the following links. Just picking up the disc and turning the flywheel. Will something like this not work??

I'm not a clutch expert, but I just did a job on my car and I was asking the same questions you were. How's the hydraulics? Hows your pilot and throwout bearing? Usually a clutch job consists of a more then just the clutch disc itself.

I'm running a dual friction SACH's unit, which is basically an OEM replacement and I couldn't be happier with it.

Ok, well I'm glad you asked because now I have even more questions. My pilot bearing is brand new, just installed it with the swap so it has less than 1000 miles on it. I have no idea about the throwout bearing and don't know how to check. 1 thing that does concern me is that I ran out to the garage to check my clutch fluid and it is a dark gray is brown color and it seems to be about half gone. I'm running a CNC clutch master cylinder that I installed during this swap, because my 1997 240sx was an automatic. Any feedback on why my fluid would be so discolored in less than $1000 miles and why it would be almost half gone. Could the hydraulics be causing the slipping issue instead of the clutch disc?

Also, I have noticed in the last few days that I do seem to be getting a lot of heat comming from around my shifter boot. I thought it was just exhaust heat coming up the tranny tunnel.

Well, was driving back to work from lunch and tried to pass a car on a single lane road and of course my clutch starts slipping when I try exceed 3500 rpms in forth gear. It seems I can drive my car around all day long as long as I stay under 3000 rpms, when I starting reving any higher the clutch starts to slip.

Any more ideas or suggestions? I don't know how long this clutch is going to last.

Come on guys I still need some help!

My neighbor is goning to try and take a look at it today or tomorrow, but he is thinking I may have a leaking slave cylinder problem. I took a look t my clutch fluid and it seems to be low and I have some soft of leak right now, clutch fluid or oil.

Also, one thing I was thinking about is I never recall smelling the clutch burning.
