That was a very informative read. Assuming it's all legit. Definitely makes sense. I'll be doing more research on my next clutch.

I had a Tremec 3550 rebuilt in my old Mustang years ago and a new clutch installed. The builder was an old school type guy and told me then that there was only two companies that made clutches no matter what the box said, he then installed me a new LUK clutch, that clutch never gave me a minutes trouble even on the dope. Guess he was right.

How do you figure that? That article is dead on. LT1 guys will understand this more than the LS1 guys I think. We've already seen chinese knock-off pressure plates coming in performance clutch kits.

I would like to see some of our clutch company members/sponsors shed some light on the situation. Maybe even let us know where their clutches might be coming from.
