Questions about C5 brackets and brake upgrade
I have a 1997 T/A and currently I'm running a C5 conversion kit on it (Bishop brackets)... here is my question.
1) Do I have any other options for rotors and calipers using this C5 bracket. CTS-V calipers perhaps?
My front wheels are 18" so I shouldn't have any clearance problems.

You have two options.
1. Buy the GM 2008-2009 C6 Z51 caliper brackets. and a set of z51 13.4" rotors. then you immediately added bigger rotors to your setup.
2. Buy C6 Z06 6 piston Calipers($650 alone) and then some 14" rotors
I have the z51 setup with C5 Z06 calipers and love it! the Stopping is crazy compared to stock and still an improvement over stock c5 setups on our cars.
Now. onto why you cannot do the CTSV calipers. They can only be used on our stock spindles with 2 washers between the caliper and the spindle and using 14" z06 rotors. so technically if your using the bishop brackets realistically you would probably have to have 14.5-16" rotors (which is a hell no without 20's probably)
For the price. i would go with the Z51 setup, the brackets are 109.10 shipped for the z51 GM brackets on gmpartsdirect.com and then you can buy whatever rotors you want. they fill out my 18's PERFECT.
Hope this helps you out. i did a massload of research before all this so any more questions just ask!
