Question about O2 Sims..
Hey guys,
When I bought my car, I was told it had O2 sims, which meant.. no SES light.
After I recently blew my motor, me and my friend were taking everything apart. He said I'm supposed to have front AND rear O2 sensors? The ONLY ones that were hooked up were my front ones.. (the one in the collectors of the headers). He said if I have O2 sims in the front O2 sensors, the computer won't know how to adjust the A/F ratio?
Is this true? Any help would be appreciated lol.
Thanks

When i did my sims my dumb *** friend plugged it in the front one, it just ran rough and threw a code. Plugged it back in and put the sim in the RIGHT spot and she ran perfect. I now have the rears deleted too, still runs fine, i also have full exhaust now too

Alright, so where SHOULD they be plugged in? The only O2 sensors I see on my car are in the header collectors. I never got a code, but my pistons were covered in carbon buildup. My friend said the computer might not have been running the car correctly due to the O2 sims.

They should be on the rears...I thought that was pretty obvious. The computer uses the front O2's to read the A/F so if you had sims on the front O2 then your computer wouldn't know your A/F ratio. The rear O2's are just a way of checking if your Cat is working so the sims belong on the rears.
