Default Spohn roll cage

I am looking at these and wondering which front mounting type to get (front of dash or through the dash). Most cages I have seen go through the dash. Also, if you have ever had one how did you like it?

i would go through the dash. in front of is going to be a bitch swinging your leg out without bashing your knee.

Never had one of spohn's cages, but I can tell you the in front of the dash deal is a Knee bashing experience. I've only gotten in and out of one car that had the cage that way once, and I'd lever get in that car again, the whack that it gave my knee on theway in and out, was enough for me.

Plus it makes it harder to get out of the car, and that's no good at all... you have a fire/crash you will want out FAST.

Thru the dash, delete the hvac stuff while you have it apart, make sure the guy that does it notches the dash metal on the drivers side so you have both bars coming down thru the upper dash piece like it should, and be done with it.

IIRC that kit is made by S&W. i would also go through the dash, it's crowded enough getting in the car as it is.

Their kits are made by S & W. I have one in my third gen, and it is a nice kit. The through the dash kit requires some more work, but it looks better.
